In this Watercolor Mastery Workshop, I'll be sharing with you how to create colorful wet in wet washes to create vibrant and beautiful evening skies.
Wet in wet washes are an ideal way to paint an evening sky, but there are several rules that must be followed in order to achieve the subtle variations from one color to the next. There is a delicate balance between the wetness of the brush, paper, and pigment, but once you find that balance the medium itself will help you to blend and soften those color transitions and create a natural and convincing sunset.
Morro Bay is a beautiful little harbor town, and a great place to find painting inspiration.
You'll be able to use these same techniques when you are inspired to paint your own local sunsets!
